Seven Pounds DVD

Seven Pounds stars Will Smith as Tim Thomas, a man driven to change the lives of seven people in an attempt at personal redemption. Two years ago, Thomas was responsible for an auto accident that took the lives of seven people, including his fiancée played by Robinne Lee.

Haunted by this tragic accident, Thomas assumes the identity of his brother, an IRS agent after saving his brother’s life. Using his resources as an agent, he seeks out seven people in need and sets out to change their lives.

Filmed in 2008 by director Gabriele Muccino, Seven Pounds won two major awards and was nominated for four more by international critics associations. The bittersweet drama is said to be based on Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice where debtors must pay a pound of flesh for each debt they owe.

Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson and Barry Pepper costar with Smith. Seven Pounds DVD is rated PG-13 and has a running time of 123 minutes. The DVD was released in the spring of 2009.
